Neela Wahn One Day Tour From Lahore
Neela Wahn is located in Kallar Kahar Chakwal. It is thirty minutes drive from Kallar Kahar. Lahore to Neela Wahn takes three hours and forty minutes. Neela Wahn waterfalls and ponds are at the base of a mountain. To get to these wonderful green ponds and waterfalls one has to hike all along the mountain. It takes half an hour to reach this breathtaking natural beauty.

There are five ponds with varying depths from as low as 4 feet to as deep as 50 feet. First Aid kit, Safety jackets, Mountaineering shoes are a must while visiting these ponds as one can get hurt on the Stoney trail or drown in the deep waters.

Neela Wahn Trip – Our Story

We started at 6 am from SAF Rent A Car Lahore on a Toyota Corolla GLi car. I had my two sons Faizan and Shaban with me in the car. Umar my manager was driving the car on the motorway at a steady pace. We enjoyed different genres of music in the car. On the way, we collected water and some refreshments. We already had marinated chicken meat in the trunk of the car along with the BBQ equipment.

On reaching Neela Wahn Umar called a local guide to help us with the best path going downhill. We all put on our mountain shoes and started to descend from the mountains on the difficult rough and Stoney trail through the lush green forest. We could see the majestic emerald green ponds from above. That was a spectacular sight.

Finally, reaching the ponds was a wonderful experience. These ponds are hidden deep down the mountains among the dense forest. The landscape was mesmerizing with so much contrast of different greens and the blue-green waters and the sky. That was just an amazing sight.

The downhill climb was a bit tiring so we all sat down and drank a lot of water while enjoying the different beautiful views. All around us were high mountains and lush green trees and bushes. The view from below was an exhilarating experience.

It was now time for the swim in the cold green waters. We all jumped in the water and started enjoying ourselves in our own special way. Playing in the water was so refreshing. The boys were swimming in all the spots and jumping and diving into the water from another pond which was at the top being the first in the descending series of all ponds.

While all this fun was taking place in the waters another activity was going on by the side of the ponds. That was preparations for the food, the BBQ. Our guide was helping us collecting dry wood and tree branches to set up a fire. He also told us that he was an expert swimmer and diver and helped many drowning people. The fire was ready and BBQ has started. Umar is an excellent chef too. The BBQ chicken was awesome. We were all being called from time to time to eat and drink while enjoying swimming in the ponds.

It was again time for a swim in the waters. There were many comical moments and a lot of laughter.

The hard part was the climb back to the top of the mountain. That exhausted everyone. Not for the physically weak, seniors and children.

Finally, in the evening we set off to travel towards Lahore.
